1993 School Funding System Constitutional Holding

In the Alabama Coalition for Equity litigation, the Montgomery County Circuit Court held in 1993 that Alabama's public school funding system violated the Alabama Constitution and ordered development of a remedy. The challenge included unequal educational opportunities and disparities in school facilities.
