Roosevelt held Arizona's school construction funding system unconstitutional

In Roosevelt Elementary School District No. 66 v. Bishop, the Arizona Supreme Court held that the state's reliance on local property tax revenues to fund school construction violated the Arizona Constitution's requirement for a general and uniform public school system because differences in district property wealth produced unequal access to adequate school facilities.
